Bath Tub & Accessories

A dedicated baby bath tub gives newborns and infants a safer, more supportive bathing experience than a full-size bathtub or sink, which can feel overwhelming and provide little natural support for a baby who can't yet sit or hold their head steady. Zubaida's baby bath tub collection covers this need with supportive tubs, bath seats, and grow-with-me designs suited to different stages of a baby's development.

Choosing the right bath tub depends heavily on your baby's current stage. Newborn-specific tubs typically include a reclined sling or cushioned insert that cradles a baby's head and body, since very young infants have no independent head or trunk control and would otherwise slip under water in an unsupported tub. As babies grow and can sit with some support (usually from around 4-6 months), a seated bath support or bath ring becomes more appropriate, offering a stable seated position while still preventing tipping.

Types of bath tubs in this collection:

- Newborn recline tubs with a soft sling or cushioned insert for babies who can't yet sit

- Seated bath supports and bath rings for babies with some independent sitting ability

- 4-in-1 or "grow with me" convertible tubs that adjust across multiple stages, extending usable life from newborn through toddler

- Foldable and travel-friendly tubs, useful for smaller bathrooms or family visits

A common question from new parents is how deep the water should be for a newborn bath. Generally, only a few centimetres — enough to gently pour over the body — is needed for a newborn, since the goal is cleaning rather than submersion; water depth can increase gradually as the baby grows and the tub design allows for more supported sitting.

Non-slip texturing on the tub base and a secure grip for the parent (many tubs have side handles) are worth checking for, since a wet, soapy baby becomes considerably harder to hold securely. Bath tubs pair naturally with a soft hooded towel for immediate post-bath drying, and with a changing mat for the diaper change that follows.
