Bath Time

Bath time is a daily ritual for most families, and Zubaida's Bath Time collection brings together everything needed for a safe, comfortable bathing routine — from the very first sponge bath to full potty training years later. This mid-hub connects to every dedicated bath and care category: Baby Bath Tub, Hooded Towels, Changing Mats, and Potty Seats, alongside our broader Grooming Accessories and Baby Care collections for daily hygiene needs beyond the tub itself.

Bath routines change significantly as a baby grows, and understanding this progression helps parents shop for the right stage rather than over-buying too early. In the first few weeks, most paediatricians recommend sponge baths only, until the umbilical cord stump falls off and heals

— after which a proper baby bath tub becomes the safer, more practical option.

How bath time needs typically progress:

- Newborn (0-2 weeks): sponge baths with a soft washcloth, avoiding full submersion until the cord stump heals

- 2 weeks to 6 months: a supportive infant bath tub with a reclined sling or cushioned insert, since young babies can't sit unsupported

- 6 months and up: a seated bath tub or bath ring for babies who can sit independently, transitioning eventually to the main household bathtub with a non-slip mat

- Toddler years: potty training seats alongside bath routines, as toilet training typically overlaps with this stage

Temperature safety is one of the most important bath-time considerations parents ask about. Water that feels comfortably warm to an adult's hand can actually be too hot for a baby's more sensitive skin — testing water with an elbow or a bath thermometer, aiming for roughly

body-temperature warmth, is the safer approach than judging by hand alone. Never leave a baby unattended in water, even for a few seconds, regardless of how shallow the tub is.

After the bath, a soft hooded towel makes drying quick and comfortable, especially important since babies lose heat quickly once out of warm water. A dedicated changing mat then keeps the post-bath diaper change hygienic and comfortable, whether used on a changing table or any flat surface around the home.

For broader daily hygiene and health monitoring needs — nail care, hair brushes, thermometers, nasal aspirators, and nebulizers for congestion — our Baby Care collection and Grooming Accessories collection round out a complete care routine alongside bath time.
